AboutI fancy the big picture. I like exact generalizations. I wonder what it all means. I make up my own meanings. I test them out. I’m not afraid of learning. I adapt. I fail. I create. I’m looking for company. I’ve taught physics, philosophy, and other subjects in Waldorf high schools across the American West, using super-skillz gleaned from my bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Colorado College (thesis on Whitehead and quantum mechanics) and master’s degree in consciousness studies from John F. Kennedy University (thesis entitled “The Elements as an Archetype of Transformation: An Exploration of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire,”). My education has taught me that it is just as important to explore how we think as what we think. Thus, I’m currently writing a PhD dissertation in the nascent (academic) field of transformative studies at CIIS, in which I address connections between spiritual science and cybernetic epistemology. The current working title is “Towards an Aesthetic Epistemology: Transforming Thinking through Anthroposophy and Cybernetic Epistemology”. Levels of Dreaming and the Makeup of the Human Being: The Spiritual Ontology of Dreams Summary: This essay examines the source of different types of dreams in the spiritual makeup of the human being, composed of physical, etheric, astral, and Egoic aspects. With a fundamental distinction between dream forms and dream content, this essay examines four levels of dreaming, each one associated with a particular set of relationships between the physical, etheric, astral, and Ego. The transition of consciousness between different states is shown to give rise to the phenomenon of “projection”, which consequently provides opportunities for soul-work. The relations are described with an eye towards those interested in gaining a deeper relationship to their dream life, and in particular to those involved in spiritual development. I opened a store at CafePress to offer a variety of products (T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Bumper Stickers, Mugs, License Plate Frames, Journals, and MORE) that have designs related to the spirit alchemy website.

The store is http://www.cafepress.com/spirit_alchemy – (there’s an underscore between the words, as ‘spiritalchemy’ was already taken, but my stuff is WAY better!)
