    Identity

    Identity

    Metaphor:

The unknown attempts to know itself.

    It marks itself.

    Space arises in no space.

    Identity marks itself in time.

    Time transforms identity.

    Identity dissolves in time.

    Space yields no space.

    The mark unmarks itself.

    The known is newly unknown.

    Time for a new metaphor.

Inside My Head 3 – Sagittal CT Scan

Here is the final view inside my head, showing a number of suspiciously empty spaces… hmmmmm.

Well, things wouldn’t be complete unless I included the other two missing dimensions. Unfortunately, these three dimensions will only reveal an extremely minimal amount of information about the marbles rattling around in my noggin. To get a sense for the many more dimensions that I inhabit, you’d have to read through this blog and maybe come over for a beer.

In any case, here’s a video I made of my recent CAT Scan, this time slicing my head axially…

Inside my head 1 – Coronal CT Scan

Have you ever wondered what goes on in your head? I have. Recently an opportunity arose to gather some visual data on the inside of a space that I already know better than anyone else from an experiential perspective, but not really at all from a structural one.

Through secret underground connections (thanks, Badger) I was able to procure the results of a recent CAT Scan that–I hope you’ll agree–is fascinating. A little photoshop here, a dash of after effects there, and voila, a video trip through my head, literally.

If you want to know how to read the scan and help me figure out why I’m so weird, take a look at the following DIY CT Scan video:
